How it works in practice
PlayerGuardian is the escrow layer: seller funds are paused until the buyer confirms successful delivery, and if the product is not delivered or does not match the description the buyer is eligible for a full refund. The safe-trading page walks through the account scenarios. A ban or reclaim during transfer or the 72-hour inspection phase obliges the seller to provide a replacement account of equal value or refund the buyer. A reclaim after that is where the paid insurance packages come in: with insurance and evidence such as an email from the publisher, the buyer gets a full refund; without it, PlayerAuctions says it will try to arrange a refund by assessing the case with the seller but cannot guarantee one.
Disputes go through the on-site Dispute Resolution System, and the Secure Buyer Delivery Agreement makes the Final Resolution Committee's decision final and binding, with no appeal. The user agreement adds an arbitration clause and caps any award at the greater of the transaction amount, the fees paid in the previous twelve months, or $100. Sellers who cause a refund pay a penalty of 10% of the refunded amount.
Questions
Does PlayerAuctions give refunds?
Yes, when a product is not delivered or does not match the description. For accounts, a ban or reclaim during the 72-hour inspection phase leads to a replacement or refund. After that, a reclaim by the original owner is covered by a paid insurance package; without insurance the company says it will assess the case and talk to the seller but cannot guarantee a refund.
